摘要: Intensive immunosuppressive therapy and broad spectrum antibiotics predispose cancer patients to opportunistic fungal infections. Fusarium has rarely been reported as a pathogen in immunocompromised patients, but is almost uniformly fatal. Only six cases of disseminated infection have described following bone marrow transplantation (BMT). We report here two additional cases. initially presented with pyomyositis one patient embolic skin lesions another T cell-depleted BMT. Both died active despite an extensive course amphotericin B, rifampicin granulocyte transfusions. From this experience from review the literature, infections appear be increasing prevalence significant pathogens hosts are resistant many conventional forms therapy.
