摘要: The fully formed chondrocranium of the Egyptian snake, Psammophis sibilans has been described in detail. tectum synoticum is very broad and there apparently no posterius. notochord completely embedded occipital condyle. connection between condyle odontoid process persists to stage. There only one commissure, representing anterior basicapsular connecting auditory capsule basal plate. fisura metotica continuous postero-dorsally with fissura occipitocapsularis. distal bent end shaft columella auris represents processus dorsalis, nodule that separates from it fuses quadrate intercalare. interorbital septum, orbitosphenoid cartilages, basitrabecular processes planum supraseptale are absent. concha nasalis simplified type, active factor its formation folding olfactory epithelium. solum nasi greatly reduced comprises floor cupola anterior, composite lamina transversalis cartilago ectochoanalis, hypochoanalis ectochonal branchial arches pterygoquadrate represented by cartilage. ceratohyals extremely long.
