摘要: The retrograde velocity of vacuum arcs in a transverse magnetic field was investigated theoretically and experimentally. Using two opto-transistors the velocities were measured. influence cathode surface contamination on spot eliminated. measured as functions induction, arc current, electrode spacing material (copper, titanium 316 stainless steel). With copper material, voltage current also A model for motion mechanism is developed. calculated according to this agrees quantitatively with reported measurements well qualitatively previously available experimental data.
