摘要: Objectives This project examined risk factors of disordered eating in athletes by adapting and applying a theoretical model. It tested previously proposed model explored the utility newly formed within an athletic population across gender, age, sport type to explain eating. Design The design was cross-sectional first phase series longitudinal studies. Methods 1,017 completed online questionnaires related social pressures, internalisation, body dissatisfaction, negative affect, restriction, bulimia. Structural equation modelling employed analyse fit measurement structural models do invariance testing. Results original failed achieve acceptable goodness (χ2 [70, 1017] = 1043.07; p < .0001. CFI .55; GFI .88; NFI .53; RMSEA .12 [90% CI .111-.123]). Removal non-significant pathways addition media resulted achieving parsimonious [19, 77.58; .96; .98; .95; .055 .043-.068]). Invariance tests revealed that revised differed level, competition status, length participation. Conclusion study showed formation symptomology might not be associated with pressures experienced athletes. development varies type, which must considered prevent treat
