摘要: Highly specialized mechanisms are required for transporting cobalamin (vitamin B12) into and out of mammalian cells. This review describes the key role cobalamin-binding proteins in meeting stringent requirements transport this essential nutrient. Also summarized various defects capable impairing intestinal absorption transcellular cobalamin. Elucidation these proved crucial our current understanding normal mechanisms.
