摘要: Pestiviruses are among the economically most important pathogens of livestock. The biology these viruses is characterized by unique and interesting features that both crucial for their success as challenging from a scientific point view. Elucidation at molecular level has made striking progress during recent years. analyses revealed major aspects pestivirus show significant similarity to human hepatitis C virus (HCV). detailed conducted pestiviruses HCV supported complemented each other last three decades resulting in elucidation functions viral proteins RNA elements replication virus-host interaction. For pestiviruses, also helped shed light on basis persistent infection, special strategy have evolved be maintained within host population. results investigations summarized this chapter.
