摘要: To maximize the impact of public spending on HIV prevention, program managers, community planning groups, and other decision makers need accurate information economic efficiency (i.e., relative balance between costs consequences) alternative prevention strategies. This paper describes a technique for evaluating behavioral risk reduction interventions within cost–utility analytic framework. determine cost-effectiveness intervention, standardized values lifetime cost treating HIV/AIDS number quality-adjusted life years lost when someone becomes infected with are combined about overall model-based estimate infections averted by intervention. The use evaluation methodology research, such as that proposed here, enhances cross-study comparability thereby facilitates informed resource allocation making.
