Transition between laser absorption dominated regimes in carbon-based plasma

摘要: In this work, we investigate the energy absorption enhancement of a laser by adding variety light ion species to primarily carbon-based plasma during high-power interaction with finite size targets. A developed Particle-In-Cell simulation code is used study reduction reflectivity (stimulated backward scatterings) in both Brillouin- and Raman-dominated regimes. The performed various Carbon-light plasmas such as Carbon-Hydrogen, Carbon-Helium, Carbon-Deuterium, Carbon-Tritium. results show that, optimized condition, inclusion Hydrogen ions into Carbon-based up 50%-50% mixture enhances exceeding 20% Brillouin regime due suppression contract 4% regime.
