摘要: Abstract A powder neutron diffraction study of NpO 2 has been made at 4.6°K. No long-range magnetic order could be detected although Mossbauer, susceptibility and specific heat measurements indicate that becomes antiferromagnetic below 25°K. If an ordered moment is present, the data place upper limit approximately 0.4 μ B per Np ion on its magnitude. The coherent scattering amplitude 237 was measured in course experiment found to 1.057±0.015 × 10 −12 cm.
