摘要: AB S T R ACT: Characterization of platiness kaolin pigments was derived from the divergence measurements their particle size distribution by two different techniques: sedimentation and light scattering. A numerical shape factor, which is related to ratio face diameter its thickness, can be calculated provide a quantitative measure such platiness. Two sets were prepared Middle Georgia kaolin: delaminated non-delaminated. Shape factors samples higher than those non-delaminated ones. Maximum found between equivalent volume diameters 1.0 2.0/~m. Examples are presented where properties coated paper correlated with pigments.
