摘要: ISUMMARY The spread of African cassava mosaic disease (ACMV) into healthy fields was recorded at weekly intervals. In addition, 21 yellow water traps were placed in one field and the number whiteflies caught twice a week. Bemisia spp. feeding on also estimated. results indicate that pattern is related to infestation with Bemisia. Airborne carried by south-west prevailing wind alighted preferentially plants along upwind edges (south west borders) plantings. incidence resembled whiteflies. Along SW-NE diagonal, there gradient maximum SW corner block. Similar gradients occurred three different they maintained throughout 6-month study, although gradually flattening time. There indications reservoirs both virus vectors located some distance from experimental fields.
