摘要: Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous strata in the Darby Absaroka thrust sheets were sampled order to paleomagnetically evaluate sheet rotation Wyoming-Idaho overthrust belt. No significant rotations found. Lack of these suggests that previously reported Prospect was not transmitted older sheets, indicating only experienced local response collision with Teton-Gros Ventre uplift. The Stump Formation possesses a magnetization passes fold test gives paleomagnetic pole at 64°N, 170°E ( K = 18, A95 15°), good agreement other published poles for cratonic North America. Samples from all sites are believed possess synfolding remagnetization chemical origin.
