Application of AMR based on powerline communication in outage management system

摘要: At present power company challenge is how to quickly and effectually implement outage management, the upgrade of both metering technology communication system makes development automated meter reading (AMR) systems possible. Signals from meters can provide extra information for detection decision processing as well restoration phases management. In this paper an algorithm efficiently using available distribution network supervisory control data acquisition (SCADA) AMR based on line (PLC) locate sources presented. Using polling characteristic PLC identify scope outage, by these adjacent with a trouble call, customers affected be identified; upstream tracing connectivity calls find common point, locations identified. in management (OMS) bring enormous profits industry, it reduces electric utility's cost, shortens duration improves consumer's satisfaction.
