摘要: Conceptually, unemployment may originate in various types of (temporary) imbalances on the labour market. Five origins are broadly to be distinguished1 (given real wage level and volume supply): U k originating very short term — seasonal fluctuations economic activity; U l underutilisation existing physical production capacity; U m a shortage new investment, that fails compensate for loss employment due ongoing scrapping older vintages capacity. Two dimensions can distinguished (a) capacity increase too slowly (b) capital-intensive guarantee absorption (utilisation) (given) force; U n labour-market imperfections leading mismatches supply demand. Market turn, behavioural reactions workers employers incomplete information fact adjustments seldom immediate necessarily take time (see de Neubourg, 1985a, details); U o unemployability certain specific groups jobs, because characteristics suppliers belonging those wages).
