摘要: Neuronal PAS domain protein 2 (NPAS2) is a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor expressed in multiple regions of the vertebrate brain. Targeted insertion β-galactosidase reporter gene (lacZ) resulted production an NPAS2-lacZ fusion and altered form NPAS2 lacking bHLH domain. The neuroanatomical expression pattern was temporally spatially coincident with formation mature frontal association/limbic forebrain pathway. NPAS2-deficient mice were subjected to series behavioral tests found exhibit deficits long-term memory arm cued contextual fear task. Thus, may serve dedicated regulatory role acquisition specific types memory.
