摘要: Organotins are widely used in agriculture and industry. They toxic to a variety of organisms including bacteria, although little is known their physiology ecology. Bacteria resistant six organotins—tributyltin (TBT), dibutyltin (DBT), monobutyltin (MBT), triphenyltin (TPT), diphenyltin (DPT), monophenyltin (MPT)—were isolated from Boston Harbor sediments, Massachusetts, USA. each the organotins, except DPT, were directly estuarine sediments. Viability organotin-resistant bacteria on serial transfer laboratory ranged 80 91%. Each isolate was screened for resistance other organotins. All 250 isolates at least two No DPT-resistant found initial isolation there DPT among bacteria. Eighty percent TBT-resistant TPT-resistant, suggesting that antifouling paints containing TPT will not be suitable substitute TBT designed inhibit microbial biofilms. Debutylation reduced toxicity some cases while dephenylation did not.
