摘要: A review of 353 lower limb amputations over the last 7 years has been performed to assess results skew flap myoplastic below-knee amputation which was introduced in April 1983 because reported advantages terms wound healing and earlier ambulation. Comparing first 3 1/2 year period with second, total number decreased by 31 per cent. The above-knee remained similar two periods (82,62), whilst Gritti-Stokes fell from 79 21 (0.001 greater than P 0.01). proportion (BK) increased 50 (23.7 cent) 59 (41.5 (0.01 0.025). groups were comparable previous vascular surgery co-existing medical conditions. time full stump significantly shorter group compared Burgess type BK (P = 0.001), there a trend fewer failures group. We therefore feel that gives superior complication rate, allowing higher be performed. prospective randomized trial techniques is hand determine accuracy this hypothesis.
