摘要: In this investigation an elastic–plastic Voronoi finite element (EPVFE) model for rolling contact fatigue of Hertzian line was developed. The EPVFE coupled with damage mechanics approach is used to investigate (RCF) tribo-components. Mises based plasticity kinematic hardening employed incorporate the effects material plasticity. considers both; stress and accumulated plastic strain laws in constitutive modeling. results indicate that once a crack initiates within domain, induced due strains around tip drives majority propagation stage. from reveal depending on pressure stage can constitute 15–40% total life. spall shape, lives Weibull slopes obtained correlate well experimental results. developed also initial imperfections such as inclusions elastic modulus inhomogeneity lives. flaws domain lead significant decrease increase life scatter.
