摘要: Background: Melaleuca oil (tea tree oil) is the essential distilled from leaves of alternifolia Cheel. Tea popular for treating various cutaneous maladies. Objective: Our purpose was to determine which constituent compounds are responsible allergic contact eczema in seven patients who became sensitized. Methods: The were patch tested with Finn Chambers a 1% solution (vol/ vol) melaleuca and solutions (vol/vol) 11 compounds. Results: Of reactive solution, six also reacted limonene, five a-terpinene aromadendrene, 2 terpinen-4-ol, one each p-cymene α-phellandrene. d-Carvone, an autooxidative derivative caused no reactions among patients. Conclusion: d-Limonene most common allergen causing our Clinicians likely see more by increasing use this nostrum.
