Structural model for amorphous germanium layers

摘要: Abstract On the basis of idea that amorphous structure is characterized by rotations about valence bond directions, it shown these are restricted to two “rotation-isomers” a two-tetrahedra “molecule”: trans-configuration and cis-configuration. By considering Ge as mixture both configurations in different proportions, we calculated corresponding radial distribution integral curves. A non-crystallographic atomic arrangement with 5-fold symmetry axes was taken into account. Comparison experimental results showed films closest trans- cis-configurations equal amounts.
