摘要: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the longitudinal incidence, severity, pattern changes or predictors oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy (OXAIPN) in Taiwanese patients with colorectal cancer. A repeated measures design employed, and 77 participants were recruited from oncology departments two teaching medical centres Taiwan. Physical examinations performed, self-reports regarding adverse impacts OXAIPN quality life obtained at five time points throughout 12 cycles chemotherapy (C/T). incidence increased C/T (31.1%-81.9%), upper limb numbness cold sensitivity most significant acute symptoms (29.9%-73.6%). Findings also documented increases overall symptom distress, interference physical results associated over course C/T. Predictors severity varied by treatment cycle, including younger patient, higher cumulative dose oxaliplatin, greater body surface area, receipt winter occurrence during prior cycles. might help healthcare providers recognise characteristics, degree influences, trends high-risk group OXAIPN, facilitating early evaluation potential interventions mitigate prevent negative effects on patients.
