摘要: This paper investigates the integration of Building Performance Simulation (BPS) and optimization tools to provide high performance solutions. An office room in Cairo, Egypt was chosen as a base testing case, where Genetic Algorithm (GA) used for optimizing annual daylighting two parametrically modeled systems. In first combination redirecting system (light shelf) shading (solar screen) studied. While second, free-form “gills surface” also optimized acceptable performance. Results highlight promising future using computational techniques along with simulation tools, methodology integrating at early design stages.
