摘要: Abstract The brown bear (Ursus arctos) population in the Cantabrian Mountains of northwest Spain is among most endangered populations worldwide. It divided into 2 isolated and genetically differentiated subpopulations. We present evidence recent male migration between subpopulations based on genetic identification hair scats samples gathered 2004 2007. Of 76 identified individuals, our analysis assigned 3 males sampled eastern subpopulation to western subpopulation. As well, 1 belonging was repeatedly along his way during April November 2006 (a linear distance 144 km).
