摘要: Abstract We present the scientific motivation, conceptual design and status of P. Auger Observatory, a hybrid detector designed to measure both longitudinal lateral profile giant air-showers produced by cosmic-rays energy above 1019 eV. Two ground arrays water Cerenkov tanks overlooked fluorescence detectors will cover an area 3000 km2 each. They be build in Southern Northern hemisphere provide full sky coverage. The total aperture 14000 sr allow study all observable aspects cosmic rays from below 10 EeV up arbitrarily high energies with unprecedented accuracy.
