摘要: Objective in the After Eighty study (ClinicalTrials.gov.number, NCT01255540), patients aged 80 years or more, with non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), and unstable angina pectoris (UAP), were randomised to either an invasive conservative management approach. We sought compare effects of these strategies on health related quality life (HRQOL) after 1 year. Methods was a prospective controlled multicenter trial. In total, 457 over, NSTEMI UAP, strategy (n = 229, mean age: 84.7 years), involving early coronary angiography, immediate evaluation for percutaneous intervention, artery bypass graft, optimal medical therapy, 228, 84.9 years). The Short Form 36 survey (SF-36) used assess HRQOL at baseline, 1-year follow-up. Results baseline SF-36 completion achieved 208 216 groups, respectively. A total 137 group 136 completed form When comparing changes from follow-up (delta) no significant quality-of-life scores observed between two any domains, expect small but statistically difference bodily pain. This only one subscales may not necessarily be clinically significant. Conclusion year follow-up, minor differences change as measured by seen strategy. Clinicaltrials.gov identifier NCT01255540.
