摘要: Cyanide is used in the leaching phase of hydrometallurgical recovery gold. The toxicity and environmental risks have created a need for safer alternatives. There vast amount information about gold extraction selection has been collected formalized to be decision support tool. tool Auric Advisor uses case-based reasoning (CBR) provide process alternatives user queries. aim this paper study with cyanide replacing such as ammonium thiosulfate, chloride-hypochlorite, thiourea thiocyanate new cases behaviour was examined electrochemical tests weight loss measurements using quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) were determine dissolution rate. Based on literature, rate determined solution 2.5 mgcm -2 h -1 . polarisation experiments potential measurements, thiosulfate system cupric ion oxidant estimated dissolve slower than cyanide. In QCM chloride-hypochlorite alternative showed highest 8.6 at redox 900 mV vs. SHE. ferric dissolved 3.4 620 Thiourea 1.65 mg cm h 450 results rapid comparable literature included case base decision-support
