摘要: Abstract This paper intends to contribute a better understanding of the failure mechanisms on short fibers composites with high fiber volume fractions, for which relatively low values stiffness and resistance efficiency are reached. For aforementioned purpose, current work used composite plates that were manufactured by compression molding incorporating carbon reinforcements (0.5 mm in length 5–20% fraction) into an epoxy resin. exhibit static mechanical properties nearly proportional content. However, fraction lower was observed both tensile strength. As expected, strain at decreases increasing Fatigue strength follows similar behavior strength, until content is 17.5% volume, but afterwards remains constant. life mainly influenced dispersion porosity.
