摘要: Information foraging and sensemaking with heterogeneous information are context-dependent activities. Thus visual analytics tools to support these activities must incorporate context. But, context is a difficult concept define, model, represent. Creating representing in of visually-enabled reasoning about complex problems complementary but different challenge than that addressed context-aware computing. In the latter, goal automated adaptation system meet user needs for applications such as mobile location-based services where location, user, goals filters what gets presented on small device. contrast, analytics-enabled sensemaking, likely take an active role contextual needed relation some multifaceted problem. this paper, we address challenges constructing within interfaces analytical crisis management humanitarian relief. The stem from diverse forms can provide difficulty defining operationalizing itself. Here, pay particular attention document construction geographic historical which monitoring be carried out. Specifically, present geo-historical (GHC) outline empirical assessment both its implementation Context Discovery Application, web-based tool supports sensemaking.
