摘要: In this research, heterogeneous cation exchange membranes were prepared by the casting-solution technique using polycarbonate (PC) and S-polyvinylchloride (S-PVC) as binders along with resin functional group agent. The effect of blend ratio (PC to S-PVC) polymer binder on structure electrochemical properties elucidated. morphology was investigated scanning electron microscopy (SEM) optical (SOM). images show that addition PC in casting solution results formation a membrane more inner cavities micro voids. mechanical strength tests conducted. Water content, ion capacity, permeability, flux, current efficiency, oxidative stability initially decreased increasing then it began increase. blending S-PVC polymers lower strength. Membrane potential, surface charge density, perm-selectivity, cationic transport number, electrical resistance, energy consumption improved increment decreased. 70% exhibited highest maximum minimum consumption. However, selectivity low compared other membranes. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2011
