摘要: Obesity and chronic disease risk factors are rising among youth. The Internet offers promise as a channel for delivering behavior change programs in manner that is both available accessible. This manuscript describes how theory informed the development of an Internet-based program promoting maintenance healthy eating physical activity (PA) behaviors to 8-year-old African American girls. web site was designed using theoretical framework comprised Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM). Program content developed target mediating variables derived from SCT, whereas delivery enhance central processing, concept ELM. important because interactive multimedia provides promising medium attracting maintaining youth's attention, thereby enhancing opportunity occur. Such interventions can incorporate state art theory-based procedures, effect change, provide opportunities test constructs procedures. Further, it demonstrates be delivered over with expectations success.
