摘要: To conserve nature and biodiversity, Vietnam has established 164 protected areas, comprising of 30 national parks, 58 conservation 10 species habitat reserves, 46 land/seascape 20 scientific experimental forest areas. Like many other developing countries, been facing institutional challenges to govern the system. Insufficiencies human financial resources, conflicts over customary statutory laws, overlaps land use rights, deficiencies in legitimate rights responsibilities are those complicate situation. overcome obstacles, state needs supports from multilevel government, community, international, private, civil societies. Co-management suggested implemented as a form governance that can help mobilize engagement diversified stakeholders well harmonize However, transformation centralized like co-management requires time effort; it reveals promising process for sustainable future Vietnamese areas through some initial achievement.
