Understanding the structural and magnetic evolution of superparamagnetic Zn ferrites nanoparticles synthesized by an easy electrochemical process

摘要: ABSTRACT In the present work, a series of zinc ferrite nanoparticles 11 nm on average size were synthesized following an electrochemical method in aqueous medium. The structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy (ICP), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), absorption (XAS) and neutron (ND). magnetic characterization was carried out vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) measurements. synthetic methodology used this paper yields monocrystalline with controlled size, shape composition, reproducible manner. control such parameters enables obtaining tuneable properties. results show that Zn2+ cations are situated tetrahedral sites crystalline spinel structure, which causes progressive decrease moments ferrites Zn content due to breakdown super-exchange interactions.
