Work function changes and electrochemical pumping of platinum electrodes on yttrium stabilized zirconia

摘要: The work function (WF) changes which are induced by electrochemical pumping on porous Pt electrodes yttrium stabilized zirconia (YSZ) have been studied with a Kelvin probe as an integral and photoemission electron microscope spatially resolving method, respectively. comparison of the measurements demonstrates that besides true spillover via surface diffusion oxygen, electrostatic effects also present. These arising from fact not all parts metal electrode in electrical contact contribute to WF signal measured probe. Experiments prepared differently show preparation has strong influence contribution.
