摘要: Objective: This study examines effects of daily use adult day service (ADS) programs by caregivers individuals with dementia (IWD) on a salivary biomarker stress reactivity, dehydroepiandrosterone-sulfate (DHEA-S), and whether these DHEA-S are associated variability in positive mood depressive symptoms. Methods: We used diary design 8 consecutive days alternation intervention nonintervention to evaluate within- between-person the intervention. Family (N ¼ 151) IWD who were using ADS interviewed telephone at home. Saliva samples collected from five times for assayed DHEA-S. Daily interviews assessed stressors mood. Results: levels significantly higher after use. covaried but not Conclusion: These results demonstrate an association family next day. Prior research has found that protective against physiologic damaging stressor exposure may reduce risks illness. Regular help depletion allow body mount restorative response demands caregiving. To our knowledge, this is first examine across connection affected stressors. (Am J Geriatr Psychiatry 2014; -:-e-)
