摘要: This paper describes the new release of Merged Land–Ocean Surface Temperature analysis (MLOST version 3.5), which is used in operational monitoring and climate assessment activities by NOAA National Climatic Data Center. The primary motivation for latest inclusion a land dataset that has several major improvements, including more elaborate approach addressing changes station location, instrumentation, siting conditions. broadly consistent with previous global analyses, exhibiting trend 0.076°C decade−1 since 1901, 0.162°C 1979, widespread warming both time periods. In general, exhibits only modest differences its predecessor, most obvious being very slightly at scale (0.004°C 1901) different patterns over terrestrial surface.
