摘要: This contribution reviews the pathology and morphology of coronary calcifications. It summarizes indications for investigation arteries. The standard protocols scan acquisition using electron beam conventional computed tomography are described as well various methods evaluation such traditional Agatston scoring method newer three-dimensional algorithms. Guidelines interpreting scores also reviewed. Major limitations reproducibility calcium score measurement summarized. Future aspects multirow-detector spiral with retrospective electrocardiographic triggering quantifying discussed.
