摘要: In this paper, we review current practices for establishing the resolution in single-particle reconstructions. The classical Raleigh criterion is not applicable case, and commonly defined by a consistency test, whereby data set randomly split half two resulting reconstructions are then compared. Such procedure, however, may introduce statistical dependence between half-sets, which leads to too optimistic estimate. On other hand, overestimation counteracted diminished properties of mere set. "true" whole can be estimated when functional relationship size known. We able estimate taking into account B-factor geometry collection. Finally, drawbacks estimation entirely avoided computing correlation neighboring voxels Fourier domain.
