摘要: Predicting the oscillation frequency and amplitude of oscillators is a non-trivial exercise. This work presents modified multiphase Colpitts oscillator with improved phase noise performance different approach to analysis. Frequency pulling not accurately predicted cross-coupling currents in makes difficult predict accurately. A single analysis using harmonic balance method presented. new structure based on Colpitts' investigated. The numerical analytical solutions are able within 2.5 % SPICE solution. solution can be used first combined simulations will allow for amplitudes tailored specific applications.
