摘要: In this chapter we summarise and interpret results from the multidisciplinary analysis of a marginal socio-economically disadvantageous small farm region in Hungary. We identify range survival strategies within predominantly agricultural local population to summarize how farmers adapt unfavourable conditions agriculture with decreasing revenues while suffering instability severe economic situation. The historically rooted increasing tendencies part time farming, pluractivity, diversification off-farm activities only recently required collective action order develop novel rural development networks. Our case study finds that new policy programmes should build more on beneficiaries’ landscape maintaining diversified land use, which for centuries prevented loss semi-natural habitats biodiversity. Relatedly, area further activate participative capabilities enhance networks processes across various stakeholders effectively influence development.
