摘要: A suite of drilling cores and outcrop samples the Lower Toarcian Posidonia Shale (PS) were collected from multiple locations including Swabian Alb Franconian Southwest-Germany, Runswick Bay UK Loon op Zand well (LOZ-1) West Netherlands Basin. In order to assess thermal maturity quantify petroleum generation potential rocks, elemental analysis, Rock-Eval pyrolysis, organic petrographic investigations molecular hydrocarbon analyses performed. Available literature data Luxembourg northwest Germany used for comparison in discussion. The is more carbonate-rich (about 30% on average) SW-Germany, NW-Germany Luxembourg, instead silicate-rich NL with carbonate contents about 15% average. This coincides relative distances depositional settings clastic source areas continents during early Jurassic. However, HI values are similar, approx. 500-700. mg. HC/g TOC average at all sampling localities, exhibiting typical type II kerogen excellent potential. Differences abundance terrigenous matter input deduced indicators, petrography. The highest evident Bay, UK.Samples outcrops UK, have reached stage oil window, quite uniform T max (425-438°C, avg. 433°C) a narrow range PI (production index) (0.10-0.19), substantiated by mature fluorescing characteristics telalginite lamalginite vitrinite reflectance 0.6-0.7%. Wider ranges (421-443°C, 427°C), (0.4-0.8%) production indices (0.06-0.29) suggest variable maturation ranging immature almost peak LOZ-1 well, NL, although only some intervals indicate advanced there. contrast, marlstones SW-Germany clearly immature, similar Luxembourg. NW-Germany, covers wide spectrum overmature.Source index (SPI) indicates value LOZ-1, followed Wickensen, Esch-sur-Alzette, LU, mainly due differences thickness studied sections. lowest was observed SW-Germany. (Jet Rock) assumed high shale because its maturity, SPI not limited section studied. PS has low thickness. © 2015 Elsevier B.V.
