摘要: Women who undergo menopause have a cessation of ovarian estrogen production. This dramatic hormonal alteration is known to significant effects on the skin and cutaneous appendages. As our understanding molecular controls folliculo-sebaceous unit has grown, there been renewed interest in role estrogens modulating hair growth. Specifically, relatively recent discovery receptor beta broadened redefined prior concepts activity signaling. In cohort pre- postmenopausal women without alopecia, modified phototrichogram was used measure density, growth rate, percentage anagen. Optical fiber diameter analysis (OFDA) determine diameters. Our aim whether are any changes characteristics parameters that correlate with menopausal status. Postmenopausal had changes, mainly frontal scalp as compared premenopausal women. These included lower percent anagen hairs, rates, Further study response provides an important opportunity for identification treatments, targets, strategies may significantly benefit
