The relationship between bond-valence sums and Tc in cuprate superconductors

摘要: Abstract The recently demonstrated correlation of T c with copper or oxygen bond valence sums for a wide range superconducting cuprates is shown to contradict the behaviour observed YBa 2 CU 3 O x as varied from 6 7. This conflict removed by introducing two independent variables, namely, sum and difference sums. latter measure hole density on CuO plane this increases passes through maximum (max). former indicates relative distribution these holes sites given compound. (max) correlates closely preference atoms. A general phase-diagram using parameters presented.
