Computer hardware description languages—A tutorial

摘要: Just as software designers use high level languages (HLL) to express the algorithms in terms of language statements, digital hard-ware hardware description (HDL) describe system they are designing. Although HDL's were originated a medium precise yet concise hardware, have found variety applications such generating user manuals, teaching logic design, acting an input for automatic design system, etc. This tutorial paper introduces useful tools and documentation. The capabilities limitations discussed, along with guidelines select HDL. directions future work extensive bibliography provided.
