Parasites and Symbionts of Nests of Polistes Wasps12

摘要: Detailed observations were made on nests of 3 species Polistes wasps: P. annularis (L.), exclamans Viereck, and metricus Say. A summary the records associated arthropods observed, together with those previously published, is given in tabular form. Twenty-three insects known to be United States; data 18 additional 1 mite gathered during this study. Symbionts parasites reported for first time are: Pyemotes sp., Lepinotus reticulatus Enderlein; Liposcelis bostrychophilus Badonnel; Ectopsocopsis cryptomeriae (Enderlein); Lachesilla sp.; foreign grain beetle, Ahasverus advena (Waltl) ; brown spider Ptinus clavipes Panzer; Trogoderma glabrum (Herbst) T. inclusum LeConte; grape leaf skeletonizer, Harrisina americana (Guerin-Meneville) Tinea carnariella Clemens; Sarcophaga Megaselia aletiae (Comstock) Phaenolauthia Melittobia chalybii Ashmead; Perilampus chrysopae Crawford; Monodontomerus minor (Ratzeburg); Dibrachys Dialictus zephyrus (Smith). Observations these 8 other are given.
