摘要: Although recent research suggests that intergenerational transfers play an important role in aggregate capital accumulation, our understanding of bequest motives remains incomplete. We develop a simple model strategic bequests which testator influences the decisions his beneficiaries by holding wealth bequeathable forms and conditioning division on beneficiaries' actions. The generates falsifiable empirical predictions are inconsistent with other theories transfers. present econometric evidence strongly often used as compensation for services rendered beneficiaries.
