Rotational level dependent quenching of the A 3Πi, v’=0 state of NH

摘要: Quenching cross sections σQ have been measured for several rotational levels N’ in the A 3∏i, v’=0 state of NH, a variety collision partners. Ground NH was generated room temperature discharge flow and excited with pulsed laser, time decay fluorescence measured. The radiative lifetime N’=1 to 5 is 418 ± 8 ns. σQ’s are generally large, up 90 A2, decrease increasing N’. This indicates influence an anisotropic, attractive interaction most but not all cases. present values compared those other experiments; because depends both on energy, experimental conditions must be carefully specified yield results which readily comparable.
