Liposome treatment of viral infections

摘要: One can treat a viral infection such as hepatitis B (HBV), C (HCV), and bovine diarrhea virus (BVDV) infections via the delivery of pH sensitive liposomes directly into endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane. Two exemplary liposome formulations are DOPE/CHEMS (DC liposomes) DOPE/CHEMS/PEG-PE (DCPP liposomes). DC DCPP optimize intracellular N-butyl deoxynojirimycin (NB-DNJ), consequently increase in vivo activity this iminosugar several orders magnitude, could be used combination with other therapeutic agents interferon and/or ribavirin. The optimized release NB-DNJ ER also applied for treatment viruses, which is known to an effective antiviral, human immunodeficiency (HIV).
