摘要: Picrosides, the terpenoids synthesized by Picrorhiza kurroa, have ample usage in medicine. Identification of regulatory enzymes involved picroside biosynthesis needs to be explored for improving level these secondary metabolites. Current efforts are based on analysis metabolism but its interpretation is limited lack information involvement primary metabolic pathways. The present study investigated connection with picrosides levels P. kurroa. results showed changes catalytic activities as well gene expression profiles hexokinase, pyruvate kinase, isocitrate dehydrogenase, malate and NADP+-malic enzyme congruence picroside-I content under different conditions kurroa growth, which indicates role accumulation picrosides. significant correlation coefficients (p < 0.05) observed between activity underline integrative studies a better understanding connecting links pathways leading biosynthesis.
