摘要: Abstract In this study, real-time performance of typical refrigerated trailers used in food transportation industry is studied theoretically and experimentally. Two pilot are selected data collected over different seasons year 2014–2015 using various measuring equipment during routine operation (fleet dairy distribution reefers) Vancouver, BC, Canada. A new mathematical model developed to simulate transient behavior the on-board vapor compression refrigeration (VCR) systems obtain thermal characteristics. The validated experimental executed wide periods measurement. VCR obtained analyzed. maximum cooling power consumption calculated as 17.8 18.4 kW. average yearly energy COP 11,800 kWh 0.58, respectively. Tremendous GHG reduction 8320 kg CO2 per trailer possible by replacing current diesel engine-driven with battery-powered types.
