摘要: Unbearable chronic neuropathic pain, which can often not be resolved by conservative pain management techniques, calls for peripheral nerve stimulation. The technique, based on the Gate control hypothesis, uses low intensity current to block depolarization and conduction of neuronal membrane. Conditions such as intractable migraine, occipital trigeminal neuralgia, burn injury transformed among others, cause intense treated PNS, especially when is localised traced back a specific nerve. Complication rates in PNS vary from 5% some cases 43% others. Common complications include lead breakage, electrode migration, etc., meanwhile associated with every surgery like risks anaesthesia, bleeding are also present. shows great potential treatment its less invasiveness, high success rate, development advanced technologies BION SAINT, it bound become standard procedure future management.
